Introduction

I am now offering sub domain hosting at Bemusedly, with a domain you.bemusedly.net. I currently do not offer domain hosting as I don’t currently have a reseller account, though under special circumstances I will host a domain if needed. To be hosted, you don’t need to have a site at the moment to show me, but you do need to have some HTML and/or PHP knowledge, along with basic FTP knowledge. I believe that everyone needs to start somewhere, so if you don’t have a lot of knowledge I can show you to some tutorials but I don’t always have time to teach you. I can help you out with things when needed though, and you are always free to e-mail me with any questions at any time.

Rules

• No stealing, copying, hate sites, rude/racist content or pornographic material is allowed. If caught, you will get one warning and if whatever it is hasn’t been removed in one week from initial contact date, I will remove it for you. If it happens again, you’re off the server. I’m pretty open minded, so if you’re running a blog and you’re over 18 and want to talk about mature subjects, it is allowed but please make sure that it states on your site if this is the case.
• Don’t go over the space you’re given. If you fear that you’re going over, let me know and I’ll see about increasing it.
• Host all of your images (link buttons, etc.) on a free image site such as PhotoBucket, ImageShack, etc. It is fine to host your actual layout images, and anything else as long as it’s not going to be direct linked by anyone else.
• You must have basic knowledge of an FTP client. I don’t care which one, but read a tutorial and get familiar with it before applying, please.
• In the subject, put ‘Subdomain Hosting Application’ so I know you read the rules.
• There is no limit on bandwidth, but please try to be careful and don’t use up too much. If I see that you’re using a lot, I’ll contact you to see what’s going on (but it’s unlikely that it would be that bad).
• A link on your site is appreciated, and required.
• Be nice. To me, your visitors and in general on your site.
• I understand that things come up that cause us to not be able to update, but if you know that you’re going to be unable to update for a long period of time (1 month +) please let me know. If it’s just something like a week vacation, it’s fine as long as it’s posted on your site so I see that.
• You can place ads on your site, and do paid blogging as long as it’s all legal.
• You can not host people, nor will you get a cPanel account.

What you get

• An awesome host, aka ME
• 500MB of space. If this isn’t enough, send me an e-mail and I’ll see what I can do.
• A sub-domain, you.bemusedly.net
• An e-mail address (if desired), you@bemusedly.net
• 1GB bandwidth per month.
• As much time as needed to open your site, as long as there is actually progress going on and not you just sitting on the server for two months doing nothing.

A Final Note

It is unlikely that I will reject someone as I’m not going to base it on skill level. If it does happen, you’re free to re-apply if you feel like my opinion will have changed. To apply, simple fill out the form below and I’ll get back to you as soon as possible, whether you are accecpted or not. If you don’t hear from me within 7 days, it probably means I died (just kidding, just send me an email because I got sidetracked from replying).
